REAL PEOPLE. BRIGHTER POSSIBILITIES
Cassie Cole, She/Her
Being one of 8 children and working previously as a nanny for many years has allowed me a unique sensitivity to a variety of family dynamics while holding the importance of supportive relationships. I am often best suited to work with folks who are looking to navigate relationship challenges, boundaries, anxiety, addiction, burn-out and longstanding patterns that leave them feeling stuck.
I work with children, teens, couples and individual adults. I believe this therapy thing works best when it feels real. My approach is honest, relational, and grounded in the idea that change happens when people feel safe enough to show up as themselves, without feeling judged, analyzed from a distance, or reduced to a diagnosis. I bring warmth, lots of humor and a "say-the-quiet-part-out-loud" energy to sessions, gently naming patterns and issues that can be difficult to see on your own.
I practice trauma-informed and holistic care that is rooted in the belief that emotional well-being cannot be separated from our relationships, culture, environment, and the systems we move through every day. I know a bio on a website can’t fully capture anyone. My own experience finding a therapist was confusing , frustrating and more difficult than it needed to be and I am always striving to make the process as easy as possible for folks to find the right fit.
Outside of therapy land, I live in a tiny house and yurt in the Columbia River Gorge with my spouse and enormous golden retriever. I enjoy hiking, cooking, baking, stand-up comedy, and spending time with my big, loud family.
