Therapeutic Approach

I believe therapy is a space where you can be fully yourself—without judgment and without having to pretend that everything is okay. My goal is to create a warm, compassionate, and supportive environment where you feel safe, understood, accepted, and empowered.

I believe that healing often begins when we feel truly seen and heard. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I see my role as walking alongside you as you explore your experiences, navigate challenges, and discover your own strengths and ability to create meaningful change. While I will always meet you with compassion and understanding, I also believe that growth sometimes requires us to gently challenge patterns and beliefs that may no longer serve us.

Ultimately, I hope therapy helps you develop greater self-understanding, confidence, and trust in yourself.

How I Work

I take a warm, relaxed, conversational, and collaborative approach to therapy. I believe humor, creativity, honesty, and practical tools can all be an important part of the healing process.

I work from a trauma-informed and attachment-based perspective and draw from approaches such as play therapy and creative interventions. I also incorporate sand tray therapy to help clients explore emotions, experiences, and patterns that may be difficult to express in words alone.

I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Every person has a unique story, and together we can find an approach that fits your needs, personality, and goals. Whether we are talking through difficult experiences, exploring relationship patterns, learning new coping skills, or using creative techniques, I want therapy to feel both meaningful and practical.

Who I Work With

I work with children, teens, adults, couples, and families, ages 5 to 90. I support clients who are navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, grief and loss, relationship concerns, divorce, life transitions, self-esteem, childhood behavioral concerns, and family conflict.

I am especially passionate about helping people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or unsure of their own ability to move forward. I believe that while we cannot always change what has happened to us, we can learn to understand ourselves better, develop new ways of responding, and build a life that feels more aligned with who we truly are.

Whether you are working through a difficult chapter, facing a major transition, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, I will meet you where you are and work alongside you at your own pace.

A Little About Me

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with friends, sharing coffee and conversation, spending time with my pets, reading, watching movies and TV, and traveling. I appreciate the simple moments that help us slow down and reconnect.

I believe life can be serious and difficult, but there is also room for laughter, curiosity, connection, and joy. I bring that perspective into my work and believe that therapy does not always have to feel formal or intimidating. Sometimes meaningful conversations happen alongside laughter, creativity, and the simple experience of feeling understood.

I hope that through our work together, you will leave therapy feeling more hopeful, empowered, and able to trust yourself.
