Find a sense of community and support through group therapy in Portland, OR, at The PATH Center. In a safe and welcoming environment, group therapy allows individuals to share their experiences, gain new perspectives, and foster connections with others facing similar challenges. Guided by skilled therapists, group sessions focus on building trust, empathy, and mutual understanding, creating a space where participants can grow together. Whether addressing trauma, anxiety, or relationship struggles, group therapy promotes personal growth while reducing feelings of isolation. What Is Group Therapy?

Group therapy at The PATH Center offers a supportive and collaborative space for individuals to address challenges together. Led by our skilled therapists, these sessions allow participants to share their experiences, learn from one another, and build meaningful connections. In this safe environment, group members gain valuable insights, develop new coping skills, and foster a sense of community, reducing feelings of isolation. Whether you're working through anxiety, relationship issues, or trauma, group therapy at our mental health clinic promotes healing and personal growth through shared understanding and support.

​Trauma & Attachment Process Group

A here-and-now process group for adults exploring the intersection of trauma/stress, gender issues, relationships, work, and the self.  Mondays in person at 6:00pm, for 60-90 depending on group size.

Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention

Are you struggling with your substance use or addictive behavior? Is an autopilot loop negatively impacting your life? Access a greater sense of choice, compassion, and freedom by joining this eight -week group that combines mindfulness with cognitive behavior therapy. Identify your personal triggers and situations that leave you vulnerable, and learn practical skills to use in such times. Participants will practice mindfulness in and outside of the group and discuss their journey with peers who can relate. Group will take place in the evening, start date TBD.

Breathwork Group Therapy

An empowering practice of conscious, connected breathwork offered from Mary a CSWA therapist and Certified Breathwork Facilitator.

Online Art Therapy 

This one hour online art therapy group offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to gently explore life stressors through creative expression. No art experience needed. Participants are invited to simply show up, slow down, and use art as a tool for self-reflection, regulation, and connection. The focus is on the process, not product, with safety and choice at the center.

Art Therapy and Mindfulness Group

Creative expression allows us to go to spaces words alone cannot reach.  Join two trained art therapists and other group members in this safe, non-judgmental space for creative self-discovery.  This group is for women and nonbinary adults, and is especially designed for those wanting support around managing stress, anxiety and depression, strengthening relationships and increasing coping skills.  The group is open with rolling admission, and participants can join after an interview with the facilitator:

Therapeutic Yoga for Stress Reduction and Empowerment (COMING SOON)

A group for women and nonbinary folks exploring gentle yoga poses, breathing techniques, and practical mindfulness skills in a trauma-sensitive environment. This group is designed to augment traditional therapy by providing psychoeducation on the effects of stress and trauma on the nervous system, as well as practical methods to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, providing supportive stress management skills to build resilience and empowerment for navigating life's challenges. Tuesdays from 1:45-3:15pm.   No yoga experience necessary, all props provided.

Cost:

The price for our groups are $70 per group. If you have commercial insurance (Kaiser,  Samaritan, Pacific Source, Kaiser, Aetna) you will likely have a copay. We also accept OHP: (Trillium, IHN, Yamhill Co., PSCS). For those Medicaid insurances, you will not pay a copay.  A sliding scale is available upon request.
