Jen Masotja-Wrignt, She/ Her

Jen is an Oregon native who earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) from the University of Oregon and her Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Portland State University.  She believes that through support and collaboration with her clients, they can achieve positive outcomes on their journey towards healing and growth. She takes an evidence-based, person-centered, and strengths-based approach when working with clients with theoretical frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, Family Systems Theory.

As a proud member of the Queer community, Jen has a strong interest in supporting clients in the areas of LGBTQAI+, children, adolescents and teens, trauma survivors, individuals experiencing anxiety and/or depression, marginalized populations, and family transitions due to divorce, abandonment, and complex familial relationships.

​

Jen enjoys working with individuals, families and couples she also has extensive experience working with families and individuals in crisis. Her background of experience stems from 15 years working in disaster response, serving communities, groups and individuals.  Jen also spent several years as a Peace Corps volunteer in Botswana, Africa and right here in Portland working with newly diagnosed patients and families impacted by HIV/AIDS.

With a strong focus and commitment to a work/life balance, Jen loves spending time enjoying all the beauty and joys of the Pacific NW with her Wife, kiddos and 2 dogs. She embraces time in the kitchen exploring the tastes of many cuisines and listening to music from her favorite artists.
