Derya Dolan, She/Her

Hi! I'm Derya. I have a Master's degree in Marriage, Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida.

I knew from a young age that I wanted to become a therapist. Therapy played an important role in my own life growing up, and now I have the privilege of connecting with and helping others.

My approach to therapy is curious and collaborative. I believe that healing happens within relationships and connection, including the relationship we have with ourselves.

My favorite therapeutic approaches are Person-Centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. I am also currently training in the Gottman Method for couples therapy. I enjoy staying up to date on the latest research and expanding my skills.

Through my experience in private practice, schools, and community resource settings, I have had the privilege of working with adults, adolescents, couples, children in play therapy, and families. I have also worked closely with unhoused individuals, LGBTQ+ communities and older adults.

As a Turkish-American therapist who is fluent in Turkish, one of my deepest intentions is to provide culturally competent care. I understand how culture, family expectations and lived experiences can shape the way we think and act. My goal is to create a space where all parts of you feel welcome.

When I'm not working, I love taking long walks with my dog, antiquing with my husband and spending time with my friends.

I'd be honored to work with you.
